Our stunning La MOMO blanket comes in a contemporary design of undyed cream wool and orange-tinted stripes.

Cold temperatures abound in the Guatemalan highlands where local elders make these sumptuous blankets, brushed from naturally dyed, hand-spun wool, on traditional standing looms.

Dimensions: approximately 145 cm x 185 cm

Each piece is woven on a standing loom, then taken to the local sulfurous hot springs for an intensive felting process that cleanses the blankets of oil, dirt, and impurities, resulting in a thicker, stronger piece. After that, the blankets are brushed to release loose fibers, resulting in a soft, silky piece that doesn't pill and, with proper care, looks like new for years.
